DICOM Camera
Clinical photo & video for any standards-compliant PACS — capture, bind identity, store as DICOM, wipe the phone.
Modality-like on Android
Capture
CameraX photo and video in one exam session — VL Photographic and Video Photographic Image Storage.
Bind
MWL, Study query, FHIR Patient, or HL7 façade — not proprietary lock-in.
Store
DIMSE C-STORE and/or DICOMweb STOW-RS to the PACS or VNA you already run.
Wipe
App-private staging only — local pixels cleared after a successful PACS ACK.
Why this exists
Clinical photos still leak into chat apps, personal cameras, and gallery sync. Hospitals need a modality-like Android app that speaks real DICOM (and optional DICOMweb), resolves identity via open standards, and leaves no durable PHI on the phone after store. DICOM Camera is built for that workflow — Android-first, EU/NL compliance-aware, MDM-deployable.
This is a beta technical showcase for lab environments only. It is not MDR- or CE-certified, and it has not been validated against GDPR or AVG. Features may be incomplete or broken. Do not use it in a real clinical environment or with real patient data.
