FHIR Message Analyzer help

Parse

Paste a FHIR R4 JSON resource or Bundle. Format pretty-prints JSON or converts common FHIR XML. Import opens a JSON or Inspect CSV file from this computer. The analyzer shows structure, meta, highlights, and educational validation hints. Nothing is uploaded.

Inspect

Overview shows key facts and a flat, searchable path list (easiest for most pastes). Structure shows the nested JSON tree when you need to dig deeper. Show empty lists null and blank paths in both views. Export CSV and Export JSON download the visible Overview rows; JSON also includes the FHIR resource. Import rebuilds from that JSON or CSV.

PHI scrub

Nothing is uploaded. Open Client-side only in the top bar for how that works, plus benefits and limits. Scrub replaces names, identifiers, phones, and addresses with synthetic values for safer screenshots. Prefer synthetic data; this is not a formal de-ID algorithm.

OperationOutcome

Build a minimal OperationOutcome as an ACK analogue — severity, code, diagnostics, optional FHIRPath expression. Use Inspect to open it in the tree.

Compare

Side-by-side path diff highlights added, removed, and changed leaves — useful for reference and identifier mismatches.
